> Publish to the Caffeine App Market

Once your app is live, you can list it in the Caffeine App Market — a public directory where other builders discover, clone, and remix apps. Anyone can list their app; here's the exact process:

Go to the App Marketplace

Access it via your profile dropdown inside Caffeine — look for "App Marketplace" or "Publish App".

Set up your creator profile

Make your profile public — this is a one-time setup. Your profile will show your published apps and activity stats.

Upload an app icon (required)

Since May 15, 2026, every App Market listing requires an app icon before you can submit it. Upload your own square icon, or generate one with AI for 1 credit directly in the listing form.

Fill in your listing details

App name (max 50 chars), short description (max 100 chars, shows in search results), long description (max 1,000 chars), category, thumbnail image, and up to 6 tags.

Thumbnail requirements

16:9 ratio, 1920×1080 recommended, JPEG or PNG format, max 5 MB. A great thumbnail dramatically improves discoverability.

Confirm guidelines compliance

Review and confirm Caffeine's publishing guidelines. A content scan runs automatically after submission.

Publish or save as draft

Click "Publish to the App Market" to go live immediately, or save as draft to finalize later. You'll get a notification once the content scan passes.

[Thumbnail Makes the Difference]

Your thumbnail image is the first thing people see in the marketplace. A 1920×1080 screenshot or custom graphic — 16:9 ratio, JPEG/PNG, max 5 MB — dramatically improves click-through. Invest 5 minutes in it before publishing. As of June 5, 2026, you can again generate the thumbnail with AI directly in the listing form — it costs 1 credit and is done in seconds if you don't have your own image ready.

As of July 17–21, 2026, you can set an icon for your app in project settings. Upload your own square icon, or generate one with AI — generation costs 1 credit. The icon becomes your app's favicon and appears in the browser tab and bookmarks.

Caffeine now has public creator profiles \u2014 a dedicated page where your published apps are displayed alongside your activity stats. Share your profile link with potential users, collaborators, or in your DFINITY forum posts.

[Team Workspace SSO]

Since July 14, 2026, team workspaces support single sign-on (SSO). Members sign in through Okta, Azure AD, and similar identity providers instead of each managing a separate Caffeine password. This lets a team manage access centrally and revoke it when a member leaves.

[Your App, Your Domain]

After going live on Caffeine, you can connect your own custom domain (e.g. rosettacaffeine.app) through Caffeine's Custom Domains feature. This makes your app look fully professional and reinforces the sovereignty angle \u2014 your domain, your brand, your ICP app. Custom domain renewals are now managed directly through Caffeine \u2014 you don't have to handle renewals separately.

> DNS Verification & Record Management

As of June 22, 2026, domains purchased through Caffeine support DNS verification and let you manage TXT and MX records directly in Caffeine. You no longer need to log in to a registrar dashboard — verify ownership and add mail records all in one place.

[No Lock-In: Export to GitHub]

Caffeine lets you export your entire codebase to GitHub at any time. Your Motoko backend and React frontend are yours \u2014 no proprietary lock-in. You can fork, self-host, or hand off to a developer at any point. Sovereignty isn't just about data \u2014 it's about code ownership too.
